Former first lady Melania Trump is reportedly focusing on herself as her husband faces new indictment charges from Georgia, a source says.

The unnamed source told People that as former President Donald Trump has been surrounded by a storm of legal troubles, his wife, Melania Trump prefers to lead a life free of “press scrutiny,” and being surrounded by her son and very few close family and friends.

“Melania publicly supports her husband but privately prefers a life with 100 percent privacy and no press scrutiny,” the source said.

“She knows how her husband is but still believes there has been too much dumping on him and wants nothing to do with any of it,” the source said. “She hates all of the legal problems and says very little about them anytime anywhere. She leads her own life.”

On Monday evening, a grand jury in Fulton County, Georgia issued a 98-page indictment in which Donald Trump and 18 others were indicted. The former president was indicted on 11 criminal charges related to his efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election, marking a fourth indictment for him.

Melania Trump was described as having a “small circle of family and very few trusted friends,” the source said. “Unlike others who belong to her husband’s clubs, she doesn’t rely on outside stimulants to guide her daily life. She has her son, other family members, and select friends.”

The source told the outlet that while Melania Trump supports her husband, the “fourth indictment is another problem for her husband” and not her.

In early August, Donald Trump was arraigned in Washington, D.C. where he plead guilty to indictment charges brought against him by Special Counsel Jack Smith for a third time. Prior to this, a federal grand jury had indicted him on four counts – conspiring to defraud the United States, conspiring to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of and attempting to obstruct an official proceeding, and conspiring against rights.

Donald Trump is facing a total of 91 criminal charges as a result of his four indictments. In total, he is looking at a total of 712 years and six months in prison if he ends up convicted, according to the New York Post.
