With 15-days left until the general election, President Donald Trump and his allies are ramping out their campaign events in a bid to shore up support for the president.

CNN reports that First Lady Melania Trump will hit the campaign trail on Tuesday while her husband holds a rally in Pennsylvania.

However, she is not expected to deliver remarks on her own.

Tuesday’s appearance will mark the first lady’s in-person appearance at a campaign event since the Republican National Convention in August.

Her appearance on the campaign trail comes just over two weeks after she tested positive for COVID-19, as IJR reported.

After she recovered from the virus, she said she had a chance to reflect on her family and the “hundreds of thousands of people across our country who have been impacted.”

“Our country has overcome many hardships and much adversity, and it is my hope COVID-19 will be another obstacle we will be able to tell future generations we overcame—and learned from in the process,” she said.

The president said he also plans to ramp up his campaign appearances in the days leading up to the election. In a phone call with campaign staff on Monday, he reportedly said he would start holding three campaign events per day.

Trump on rallies: "Soon I'm gonna do 3 a day, don't feel sorry for me…maybe nobody else can do it."

Vice President Mike Pence is also expected to have a “very aggressive” campaign schedule that will have him traveling five days a week for campaign events.

Pence is slated to hold events in seven states over the course of the next six days.

As the election draws near, several polls show Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden leading Trump by an average of 8.9 points.

Despite those polls, the president expressed optimism in his chances of winning the election. In his call on Monday, Trump said, “We’re going to win. I wouldn’t have told you that maybe two or three weeks ago.”
