First Lady Melania Trump is starting to help fundraise for her husband’s 2020 reelection campaign.

The first lady is expected to make two stops for President Donald Trump in the upcoming weeks to help fundraise for Trump Victory, a joint fundraising committee.

As Politico reports, the two stops will be on March 18 in Beverly Hills, California, and another on March 25 at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.

Melania Trump hasn’t really been on the campaign trail much for her husband’s fundraising. Around the 2018 midterm elections, she sent out a fundraising email to urge Americans to register to vote to push back against Democrats and the media “doing everything they possibly can to discredit Donald with false accusations.”

Additionally, Melania Trump delivered a campaign speech ahead of the 2016 presidential election in Pennsylvania.

Trump, along with the Republican National Committee (RNC) and two joint fundraising committees, fundraised $463 million in 2019, as IJR reported. In the fourth quarter of 2019, Trump’s re-election campaign brought in $46 million.

RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said of the fundraising haul:

“President Trump’s unwavering commitment to keeping his promises to the American people has propelled us to break fundraising records again this quarter. Democrats’ baseless impeachment charade has only made support for President Trump stronger.”

However, while the RNC outraised the Democratic National Committee (DNC), the DNC dismissed any worry:

“We’re seeing unprecedented enthusiasm for the Democratic Party, with half the Democratic field alone having already outraised the sitting incumbent president by tens of millions of dollars. The DNC made smart investments that led us to victories in 2017, 2018 and 2019, and is hard at work building the infrastructure necessary to do the same in 2020.”

As IJR previously reported, McDaniel also recently declared that Trump is in “very good shape” for reelection, “Our internal polling, where we’ve been in all these states, our analytics — which is more accurate — shows the president in very good shape in all of these states,” including Michigan.
