“The View” co-host Meghan McCain is warning President Joe Biden that his pro-choice position is doing “grave spiritual harm” to himself and the United States.
The women of “The View” discussed Biden’s current relationship with the Catholic Church after bishops voted on Friday to support a measure that could prevent the president and other politicians from receiving Communion for supporting abortion rights.
“When comes to the separation of church and state, the onus is on the government, not the church,” McCain said.
She argued if Biden is a “devout Catholic,” as he claims to be, “Abortion is a cardinal sin that can do deep spiritual harm to you.”
McCain continued, “President Biden had been supportive of the Hyde Amendment up until 2019 when he decided to run for president.”
She explained the Hyde Amendment barred the use of federal funds to pay for abortion.

“As far as I’m concerned, abortion is murder,” McCain said.
She pointed out Biden’s official stance on the matter is he is personally opposed to abortion but does not feel as though he has the right to impose his view on the nation.
“For someone who claims to be pro-life, I never understand this argument. It’s like saying, ‘I’m personally opposed to murder but if you want to murder a little bit it’s fine because it’s not my problem,'” McCain explained.
She added, “It’s ultimately up to the church, but he’s walking a very fine line here, and ultimately, all of these issues are literally life and death for Catholics, for devout Christians.”
The co-host also said Biden will have to “ultimately talk to his creator when the time comes as we all do, and reconcile his politics with his personal faith, and I believe he’s doing grave spiritual harm to himself and harm to this country.”
