President Donald Trump has repeatedly said he is working on developing a healthcare plan and that it would be released within a few weeks.

However, he has yet to unveil his plan.

During a press conference on Wednesday, White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany was asked about the details of Trump’s supposedly forthcoming healthcare plan.

CNN’s Kaitlan Collins asked who was working on Trump’s healthcare plan, McEnany responded, “I’m not going to give you a readout of what our health care plan looks like and who’s working on it. If you want to know, come work here at the White House.”

When Collins retorted that her question was about who was working on the plan, McEnany said, “Stakeholders here in the White House. And as I told you, our domestic policy council and others in the White House are working on a healthcare plan, the president’s vision for the next five years.”

“And if you want more, come join us here,” she added.

The focus on Trump’s healthcare plan comes after a town hall event hosted by ABC News where he was pressed about his efforts to do away with the Affordable Care Act (ACA)

Trump ripped into the ACA and promised that he was working on a new healthcare plan, “We’re doing is, we’re going to be doing a health care plan — preexisting, protecting people with preexisting conditions.”

“That’s exactly what we’re talking about. We’re going to be doing a health care plan very strongly and protect people with preexisting conditions,” he added.

However, ABC’s George Stephanopoulos noted that the president has been promising to unveil his healthcare plan shortly since 2019.

Even in July of 2020, Trump vowed to roll out his new plan “within two weeks.”

But, it is now September, and Trump’s healthcare plan has yet to be released. Still, White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows said the plan is “all ready” and will be unveiled before the election.
