During his address, Biden touted the number of jobs created under his administration, “The economy created more than 1,300,000 new jobs in 100 days.”

He added, “More jobs in the first 100 days than any president on record.”

Biden also vowed his American Jobs Plan will create “millions of good-paying jobs, jobs Americans can raise a family on.”

When discussing taxes, Biden promised he would “not impose any tax increase on people making less than $400,000. But it’s time for corporate America and the wealthiest 1 percent of Americans to just begin to pay their fair share. Just their fair share.”

Additionally, the president touched on immigration reform.

“Immigration has always been essential to America. Let’s end our exhausting war over immigration. For more than 30 years, politicians have talked about immigration reform and we’ve done nothing about it. It’s time to fix it,” Biden said.

He continued, “On Day 1 of my presidency, I kept my commitment and sent a comprehensive immigration bill to the United States Congress. If you believe we need a secure border, pass it, because it has a lot of money for high-tech border security.”

Biden told lawmakers if they believe “in a pathway to citizenship, pass it. There’s over 11 million undocumented folks, the vast majority here overstayed visas. Pass it. We can actually if you actually want to solve the problem, I have sent a bill to you, take a close look at it.”

He also spent time talking about the COVID-19 pandemic, police reform, and more.
