Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) shared what her plans are for former President Donald Trump’s anticipated arraignment.

On Friday, Greene tweeted, “I’m going to New York on Tuesday. We MUST protest the unconstitutional WITCH HUNT!”

It wasn’t long before Greene’s announcement was mocked by others on the platform.

Writer Richard Hall reacted, tweeting, “It’s like if January 6 and Four Seasons Total Landscaping had a baby.”

The tweet comes after a New York City grand jury voted to indict Trump Thursday.

Greene appeared to be changing her tone on the matter as she previously suggested people should not protest.

Earlier this month, she tweeted, “We don’t need to protest about the Communists Democrat’s planning to arrest Pres Trump and the political weaponization of our government and election interference. These idiots are sealing their own fate in 2024 because the silent majority has two feelings right now about the current regime.”

Greene continued, “Fear and anger. That is the most powerful combination when election time comes. And the Democrats are driving that force with their own corrupt actions.”

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) also previously discouraged protests.

“I don’t think people should protest this, no,” McCarthy told reporters at the time, adding, “We want calmness out there.”

McCarthy explained, “I think President Trump, if you talked to him, doesn’t believe that either. I think the thing that you may misinterpret when President Trump talks and someone says that they can protest, he’s probably referring to my tweet: educate people about what’s going on. He’s not talking in a harmful way, and nobody should.”

CBS News reported the New York City Police Department (NYPD) has been in close communication with federal law enforcement, court officials and the Secret Service to create plans for both the arraignment and possible demonstrations.
