Former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida, has been partially closed as a result of a COVID-19 outbreak, according to reports.

Several people familiar with the situation confirmed to The Associated Press the club is closed until further notice.

According to another source, the club “partially closed” a “section of the club” out of an abundance of caution for a brief amount of time and required workers to quarantine.

The number of people infected with the virus were not made known as well as how the outbreak was affecting Trump and his family.

After the former president left the White House in January he moved to his Mar-a-Lago club.

Donald Trump and former First Lady Melania Trump received the COVID-19 vaccine while they were living at the White House in January. They both tested positive for the virus in October of 2020.

The Republican National Committee announced last week it is moving a portion of its spring donor retreat next month to Mar-a-Lago.

Lawyers for Trump sent out cease-and-desist letters to the Republican National Committee, National Republican Congressional Campaign, and National Republican Senate Campaign last week calling on them to stop using his name for fundraising, as IJR reported.

He also encouraged his supporters to donate to his Save America PAC saying in a statement, “No more money for RINOS.”

Trump added, “They do nothing but hurt the Republican Party and our great voting base — they will never lead us to Greatness. Send your donation to Save America PAC at DonaldJTrump.com. We will bring it all back stronger than ever before!”

The former president reportedly “reaffirmed” to RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel he approves of the party using his name.

The Republican Party also said it had “every right to refer to public figures as it engages in core, First Amendment-protected political speech.”
