A Welsh composer who attended King Charles III’s coronation cleared the air after being accused of being Meghan Markle in disguise.

Sir Karl Jenkins, 79, decided to “set the record straight” in a TikTok video on Wednesday.

“I understand there’s been a lot of interest in me since I appeared at the coronation of King Charles III,” he said.

Jenkins explained he attended the historical event because he had written some music for the service at Westminster Abbey.

“I was quite surprised that some people thought I was Meghan Markle in disguise,” he continued.

He also referenced a viral post jokingly claiming that the disguise was used to “steal the Crown Jewels.”

Nonetheless, Jenkins found the conspiracy to be humorous and revealed that his quirky look is nothing new.

“I look this way all the time,” he said.

Jenkins showed a photo of himself from his younger years when he was playing the saxophone and revealed that he has had his prominent mustache for 18 years.

“It was very trendy then,” he added.

Jenkins concluded, “So that’s me. Nothing sinister about it or surprising at all.”

According to his biography, Jenkins is deemed as “among the most performed living composers,” per a 2011 “global survey.”

On April 12, Buckingham Palace released a statement announcing whether Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would be attending the coronation, per CNN.

“Buckingham Palace is pleased to confirm that The Duke of Sussex will attend the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey on May 6th. The Duchess of Sussex will remain in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet,” the statement read.
