Former Arizona gubernatorial hopeful Kari Lake (R) is praising former President Donald Trump's performance during CNN's town hall event. During an interview on Steve Bannon's "War Room," Lake was asked about her "observations" of Trump during the event. "Amazing," Lake responded. She added, "Well, it would have been nice to have a fair moderator who actually wanted to impart the viewers and the voters with information." She continued, "You know, when I tune into something like that as a voter, I want to get some information. Where do you stand on the issues? What are you going to do to solve our problems? This woman had such an agenda and it was so obvious." I was really impressed. You know, he was very kind considering what she was doing and how biased she was. There was no interest in just talking about policy and letting people decide, it was definitely agenda driven. Complete nastiness.” Finally, Lake argued it was a "really important night," because it showed "where President Trump wants to take this country." "He knows we're in a world of hurt, he has the answers," she added. Lake, who fell short in her 2022 gubernatorial bid, is reportedly among the potential candidates being considered as Trump's running mate. Trump lashed out at Collins during the town hall, calling her a "nasty person." During an exchange about his handling of classified documents, Trump asked, "Can I talk? Can I answer the question?” “I want you to answer the question, that’s why I asked it," Collins responded.
