Actor Kevin Sorbo spoke about the attack of masculinity in our culture and how the Bible celebrates men.

In an exclusive interview with The Daily Wire, Sorbo, 64, promoted his new children’s book, “Test of Lionhood,” which teaches kids about masculinity through a lion cub who saves his sister. Sorbo said his reasoning for writing the book is because children need to hear the message “let boys be boys and let girls be girls.”

“Look what we are doing to kids today from our public education system, through television and movies, this whole thing about toxic masculinity. For decades now we have been trying to make men more feminine and we’re trying to make women more masculine,” he shared.

Sorbo emphasized, “We need our boys to become strong men who can lead their families, communities, in a more positive direction.”

“The Bible calls for us [men] to be providers. For men to be providers and that takes nothing away from women,” he added.

Furthermore, Sorbo said the “family unit is under attack,” particularly fathers, in every facet of life. He also mentioned the Bible’s high regard for fatherhood.

Masculinity is under attack today. We need to teach our kids what Biblical masculinity looks like.

“The Bible teaches us to honor the father, sitcoms teach us to dishonor the fathers. For a confused generation of men, which we have now, it’s much easier for public schools, universities, TV, movies, government, to control that,” the “Hercules” actor explained.

Sorbo continued, “It’s a total opposite of a generation of men that are seeking the truth. Which is why I think they reject people like me who stand up for Conservative values and Christian values.”

In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Sorbo opened up about being blacklisted by Hollywood for being a Christian.

“It was sad to me, you know, my manager and agent for so many years said that we can’t get you jobs anymore, work with you, because of you being a Christian, being a conservative,” he said.
