Billionaire rapper Kanye West confirmed he is no longer supporting President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign as he emerges with his own presidential aspirations for the White House.

During an interview with Forbes magazine on Tuesday, West, who has actually never voted in his life, declared that he was officially taking off his red “Make America Great Again” hat as he no longer supports Trump.

“I am taking the red hat off, with this interview,” West said.

West also explained why he previously supported Trump despite the backlash he faced for it.

“One of the main reasons I wore the red hat as a protest to the segregation of votes in the Black community,” West said. “Also, other than the fact that I like Trump hotels and the saxophones in the lobby.”

West admitted that he would have run as a Republican candidate if Trump were not in the race. With Trump’s presence, he also considered running as an independent candidate.

“I would run as a Republican if Trump wasn’t there. I will run as an independent if Trump is there,” Trump said.

However, the famed rapper now claims that he is running his political campaign under the Birthday party, per Elon Musk’s advice. When asked why, he said, “Because when we win, it’s everybody’s birthday.”

Although West claims he no longer supports Trump, many people are already speculating that his decision to enter the presidential race is nothing more than a ruse to split the Democratic vote.

During the interview, West did not mince words with his criticism of presumptive Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. He described the former vice president as “not special.”

“I’m not saying Trump’s in my way, he may be a part of my way. And Joe Biden? Like come on man, please. You know? Obama’s special. Trump’s special. We say Kanye West is special. America needs special people that lead. Bill Clinton? Special. Joe Biden’s not special.”

“A lot of times just like political parties they feel all Blacks have to be Democrat. This man, Joe Biden, said if you don’t vote for me, then you are not Black,” West also said. “Well, act like we didn’t hear that? We act like we didn’t hear that man say that? That man said that.”

Additionally, West condemned the Democratic party, claiming the message appears to be that all Black people “need to be Democrat.”

“That is a form of racism and white supremacy and white control to say that all Black people need to be Democrat and to assume that me running is me splitting the vote. All of that information is being charged up on social media platforms by Democrats.”

West also admitted that he is aware of the likelihood that he will help Trump while possibly taking votes from the Democratic Party.

“I’m not denying it,” West said. “To say that the Black vote is Democratic is a form of racism and white supremacy.”
