“The View” co-host Joy Behar says she sees “fascism down the line here” after a leaked Supreme Court draft opinion shows it is poised to overturn Roe v. Wade.

During an episode of the show Tuesday, Behar explained it appeared to her that the justices nominated by former President Donald Trump “felt that there was precedent set, and they would honor the precedent.”

She added, “And now it’s the opposite that’s happening, not that I’m surprised. You and I were talking before, we’re not surprised. We saw this coming.”

“My worry is that this is just the beginning, next they’ll go after gay marriage and maybe Brown versus Board of Education. They already eroded our voting rights a little bit,” Behar continued. “So, I see fascism down the line here.”

Behar’s co-host, Whoopi Goldberg, did not hold back on her response to the leaked draft opinion.

“Everybody wants to tell me what to do! This is my body,” Goldberg said.

She continued, “My doctor, and myself, and my child — that’s who makes the decision [about abortion].”

Goldberg argued women, “when they decide something is not right for them, they’re going to take it into their own hands,” adding, “We got tired of tripping over [other] women in public bathrooms who were giving themselves abortions because there was nowhere safe, nowhere clean, nowhere to go.”

Regarding Roe v. Wade, Goldberg said, “It came about because people wanted people to have somewhere safe and somewhere clean. It has nothing to do about your religion. This is not a religious issue, this is a human issue.”

She called abortion a “hard, awful decision that people make.”

Goldberg went on, “If you don’t have the wherewithal to understand that, to start the conversation with, ‘I know how hard this must be for you,’ if you’re starting it by telling me I’m going to burn in hell, then you’re not looking out for me as a human being, whether I subscribe to your religion or not, and that is not OK.”

.@WhoopiGoldberg: "Getting an abortion is not easy. Making that decision is not easy. It's not something people do lightly."

Politico published the report on the leak and the court confirmed the report is authentic.
