Podcaster Joe Rogan and Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon got into a debate over abortion during an episode of "The Joe Rogan Experience." Rogan defended abortion telling Dillon this week, "You don't have the right to tell my 14-year-old daughter she has to carry her rapist's baby." When asking Dillon, who runs a satirical conservative Christian news site, if he believes a 14-year-old child has to carry their rapist's baby, Dillion replied, "I don’t think two wrongs make a right. I don’t think murder is the answer… I don’t think murder fixes a rape." Rogan then asked Dillon if abortion is acceptable if the fetus was only three days old or if the mother "just turned positive" for pregnancy. "Once life has begun, I don’t think you can draw lines," Dillon said, adding, "I would lay it out like this – It is wrong to intentionally kill a human life, abortion intentionally kills an innocent human life, therefore abortion is wrong." Psalm 139:13 says that God knit us together in our mother's womb. Dillon explained that the development of the baby and whether it can think or whether it is conscious and can feel pain doesn't matter. "I think that, if it’s a human life, a distinct human life, then I think it’s wrong to end its life," he said. Rogan then asked Dillon if he thinks, "once the conception happens, there is some sort of miraculous event like at the very moment?" Watch the video below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUjTF4WO2LU "Like, you could literally get to the point where the sperm cracks the egg, if you could scoop that egg out right there, would that be abortion?" Rogan continued. Dillon responded, "Well, I mean, at some point you're gonna have to say there was a magic moment that happened because you believe that we eventually become valuable humans, right? Where’s the moment where you think the magic happens?" Dillon then spoke about how Babylon Bee has been criticized for being "harmful misinformation," but thinks that calling a baby "a clump of cells" is harmful misinformation because "you're encouraging people to kill it like it’s nothing when it's actually a human life." "I think abortion is healthcare the way rape is love making if we want to use rape as an example. I think they're opposites and these are euphemisms that we use. We use the word healthcare, we're talking about a procedure that ends an innocent human life and we're calling it healthcare?" Dillon said. Rogan then said, "This is why it's such a human issue" because he sees what Dillon is saying. "Life is valuable," Rogan said.
