Republican New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu suggested there was a “good shot” President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump won’t be on the 2024 presidential ballot.

During an interview on NBC News’ “Meet the Press” with host Chuck Todd, Sununu pointed out many Americans would feel “politically homeless” with Biden and Trump both on the ballot.

“It’s not going to be that way,” Sununu said. “Look, I think there’s a good shot that neither of them are actually on that ballot.”

No Labels, a bipartisan organization, has reportedly been making plans for a third-party presidential ticket. In preparation, the group has been creating focus groups of like-minded voters in order to build a candidate selection for the upcoming presidential election, according to the Washington Post.

“I think Trump can very much lose if they window it down to one on one. I think there’s a lot of issues that are going to come to bear with President Biden over the next year and a lot of opportunity for the Democrats to find another – another candidate,” Sununu said, adding that there was “an opportunity” with No Labels “like never before.”

Sununu added “it would have to be the right candidate. It has to be somebody very energizing” and “positive.”

To date, Biden and Trump are locked in a headlock tie with 46% of voters saying they’d support each candidate, according to a poll conducted by the Wall Street Journal.
