Jared Kushner went after model Chrissy Teigen over the attacks she has launched on his wife, Ivanka Trump. Kushner sat down with conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt for an interview that was released Friday to discuss his book “Breaking History.” During the interview, Kushner opened up about the insults directed at his wife. "It did hurt her when people would be so nasty, people like, you know, Chrissy Teigen who were nasty trolls who would just say the most awful, horrible things about her, and I would see it," Kushner said. Kushner explained that Trump "never lowered herself to their level. She never got into the mud. She always stayed elegant. But I have to say it was very hard for her." He continued, "And she would always brush if off, but I would imagine it had to hurt when things like that happened." https://twitter.com/hughhewitt/status/1563117477114314753 Teigen took aim at Trump in July 2020 on Twitter. "Had it with anyone who EVER defends this woman or puts her as the 'sane' one in this family. what a repulsive trolling of the people. also (in the SEA of illegal sh*t this family does) is this even ethically ok or legal??" Teigen tweeted. https://twitter.com/chrissyteigen/status/1283222848362803201 In March 2020, Teigen mocked Trump after she posted a message to parents staying home with kids amid the COVID-19 pandemic. "Plan living room camp out! Throw a bedsheet over some taped together brooms. Plan a menu and ‘pack’ sandwiches, salads (S’mores optional) A fun activity that also brings family together for a meal! Share your ideas and use the hashtag [Together Apart]," Trump tweeted. Teigen responded, "After we quote pack unquote sandwiches can we please have Covid tests." https://twitter.com/chrissyteigen/status/1240146376060788736 Teigen's husband, singer John Legend, has expressed his fair share of criticism of Trump's father and the former president. https://twitter.com/johnlegend/status/914107882756505602 "Trump continues to dominate the shi*tiest president ever competition," Legend tweeted in September 2017.
