The widower of wife killed just moments after leaving their wedding reception opened up for the first time about the tragedy.

On May 18, Aric Hutchinson exclusively spoke with ABC News and shared how he was coping with the devastating loss of his wife, Samantha Miller, 34.

“I’m still trying to wrap my head around it. That night going from an all-time high to an all-time low. It’s pretty rough to comprehend,” he said.

Hutchinson remembered his favorite parts from his wedding night.

“We had family, friends, from all over the country — everywhere there. And everyone was just so happy. She was so happy,” he said

He also told ABC News he remembered the joy his wife had that night.

EXCLUSIVE: “The last thing I remember her saying is she wanted the night to never end.”

“She was so happy. I mean, planning a wedding, as most people know, is extremely stressful. And she just had a weird, like, calmness that night,” he said.

With tears in his eyes, he acknowledged it was “one of the best nights” of his life.

Although Hutchinson said while he doesn’t have any memory of the crash, he did remember his wife’s last words to him.

“The last thing I remember her saying is she wanted the night to never end,” he revealed.

When asked if there is anything he’d say to the drunk driver who took Miller’s life, Hutchinson admitted he wasn’t ready.

“No, I can’t right now. She stole an amazing human being that should not have been taken,” he shared.

On April 28, following her wedding reception at Folly Beach, South Carolina, Miller was killed by an alleged drunk driver after being struck in the back of the golf cart she was in with Hutchinson, who was severely injured, per the Associated Press.

According to investigators, the driver, Jamie Lee Komoroski, 25, was going 65 mph (105 kph) in her rental car.

She has since been charged with “reckless vehicular homicide and three counts of driving under the influence causing death.”

She faces “one to 25 years in prison on each DUI count.”
