Hunter Biden Accuses Rudy Giuliani of ‘Hacking’, Files Lawsuit

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE - JULY 26: Hunter Biden, son of U.S. President Joe Biden, departs the J. Caleb Boggs Federal Building and United States Courthouse on July 26, 2023 in Wilmington, Delaware. Biden pleaded not guilty to two misdemeanor tax charges in a deal with prosecutors to avoid prosecution on an additional gun charge. However, the federal judge overseeing the case unexpectedly delayed Biden's plea deal and deferred her decision until more information is put forth by both the prosecution and the defense. Hunter Biden filed a lawsuit against Rudy Giuliani, a previous lawyer for former President Donald Trump, and his former attorney, Robert Costello, accusing them of “hacking.”

The lawsuit filed on Tuesday in Los Angeles accuses Giuliani and Costello of “hacking into, tampering with, manipulating, copying, disseminating, and generally obsessing over data” which is described as being “taken or stolen” from Hunter Biden’s laptop, according to CNBC.

Lawyers for Biden say this is a violation of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act.

“For the past many months and even years, Defendants have dedicated an extraordinary amount of time and energy toward looking for, hacking into, tampering with, manipulating, copying, disseminating, and generally obsessing over data that they were given that was taken or stolen from Plaintiff’s devices or storage platforms, including what Defendants claims to have obtained from Plaintiff’s alleged ‘laptop computer,'” the lawsuit says.

The lawsuit continues to allege that Giuliani and Costello, along with others, are “primarily responsible” for the “total annihilation” of Biden’s digital privacy.

“Defendants are among those who have been primarily responsible for what has been described as the ‘total annihilation’ of Plaintiff’s digital privacy,” the lawsuit says.

This lawsuit represents the most recent one that Biden has filed regarding his laptop. On Sept. 13, the son of President Joe Biden filed a lawsuit against former Trump aide Garrett Ziegler and 10 other unnamed defendants for having posted content from his laptop.

Biden’s lawsuit against Giuliani and Costello is requesting a jury trial to help determine the damages.

The laptop has been the center of House Republicans’ investigations surrounding social media censoring regarding the Biden laptop story, along with election and COVID-19-related issues.

On Sept. 14, Biden was indicted on three firearms charges relating to his unlawful possession of a firearm while on drugs.
