House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) is offering his own take on President Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan.

During a speech on the House floor amid impeachment proceedings on Wednesday, Hoyer mentioned the rioters who violently descended on the U.S. Capitol last week and suggested their actions serve as another meaning to Trump’s slogan.

“They had the hats on of the army of MAGA, which I refer to as ‘Make America Grieve Again,'” Hoyer said.

He added, “We grieved at Fort Sumter. We grieved on Dec. 7, 1941, and we grieved on 9/11 and, yes, we grieved on Jan. 6 of this year.”

The House is expected to impeach the president, charging him with “incitement of insurrection,” as IJR previously reported.

He called the impeachment efforts “absolutely ridiculous” and argued it is “causing tremendous anger.”

Democrats are not the only ones in favor of impeaching Trump.

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) announced on Tuesday she would vote to impeach Trump, as IJR previously reported.

“The President of the United States summoned this mob, assembled the mob, and lit the flame of this attack. Everything that followed was his doing,” Cheney said in a statement.

Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) joined Cheney in planning on voting to impeach Trump.

“There is no doubt in my mind that the President of the United States broke his oath of office and incited this insurrection,” Kinzinger wrote in a statement.

According to Axios, there is a “better than 50-50 chance” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) would vote in favor of impeaching Trump.

Vice President Mike Pence rejected a push to invoke the 25th Amendment and remove Trump from office.

“I do not believe that such a course of action is in the best interest of our nation or consistent with our Constitution,” Pence wrote in a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).
