Vice President Kamala Harris is facing a new round of mockery for her remarks.

During an event on Monday, Harris said, “When we talk about the children of the community, they are the children of the community.”

“And in that way, we should all feel a direct sense of responsibility,” she added.

It did not take long for responses to pour in.

Steve Guest, a communications adviser for Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), wrote, “What a sentence.”

I’ve known shit-faced rugby players with significant long term brain damage who are more coherent than our Vice President. https://t.co/4c7WudI016

No, no…

My child is mine, not the communities. https://t.co/m5P27p4r6c

Earlier this month, Harris was mocked after she delivered another gaffe.

“I often note, and I’ve talked with many of you about our shared belief that our world is increasingly more interconnected and interdependent,” she said at the summit of the Association of Southeast Nations.

Harris added, “That is especially true when it comes to the climate crisis, which is why we will work together and continue to work together to address these issues, to tackle these challenges, and to work together as we continue to work, operating from the new norms, rules, and agreements that we will convene to work together on to galvanize global action.”
