As the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, Joe Biden, continues his search for a running mate, some of the potential prospective candidates are voicing their opinion on the matter.

In an interview on MSNBC on Thursday, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) was asked if she had spoken to Biden, “I have been focused 100 percent on this pandemic.”

She continued, “Obviously I would be honored if I were being considered, but I have to tell you right now my entire focus has been on what we need to do to get relief to Americans right now, because 22 million Americans as of today, just in the last few weeks, are unemployed.”

“I think what’s most important is that we all join together, that we unify the party, that we unify the country and that we elect Joe Biden because Donald Trump does not know how to do the job,” she added”

However, when she was asked if she would be willing to join the ticket, Harris said, “Obviously, I’d be honored to serve with Joe.”

Harris, who endorsed Biden for president months after suspending her presidential campaign, lobbed harsh attacks against his record throughout the campaign. However, as the field consolidated behind Biden, she announced her support for the former vice president.

Biden has reportedly compiled a list of up to twelve potential female running mates. The other reported candidates for vice president include Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and Stacey Abrams.

Both Warren and Abrams have said they would be willing to join the ticket if Biden asked them to, as IJR has previously reported.

Biden, who committed to choosing a female running mate, has previously said he would consider Harris for his vice president as IJR has previously reported.
