Fox News host Harris Faulkner on Friday told a guest who portrayed Democrats’ actions in recent weeks as a normal occurrence after an election defeat to stop defending “bad behavior.”
Democrats faced criticism for an increased use of profanity in recent weeks and their conduct during President Donald Trump’s March 4 address to Congress, when they remained seated and rarely applauded during Trump’s speech. When Secret Service Director Sean Curran presented Devarjaye “D.J.” Daniel, who is battling brain cancer, with credentials during the speech, Democrats continued to stay seated.
Faulkner asked Democratic strategist Fred Hicks about Democrats’ actions after questioning if Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett of Texas really requested to be slapped.
“What is going on in your party and do you think you can fix it quickly?” Faulkner asked Hicks after playing a video montage of Democrats cussing, with Hicks responding, “So, Harris, I’d just like to remind all the viewers this is something that happens normally after a party loses an election.”

“No, no, no, no, no!” Faulkner responded. “Did you hear the cussing?”
Democrats have also made widely-panned outreach on social media. Democratic Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Lauren Underwood of Illinois, Katherine Clark of Massachusetts, Judy Chu of California, Crockett and Susie Lee of Nevada took part in an 18-second video similar to the character selection screens of the arcade and console franchise Street Fighter that influencer Sulhee Jessica Woo posted on Instagram March 5.
“Well, listen, four years ago, Republicans couldn’t decide if the election was free and fair or stolen and Donald Trump said they were and Republican, you had governors across the states-” Hicks said before Faulkner interjected.
“How is that anything like your party dismantling itself and cussing at the American public,” Faulkner responded. “They’re two different things!”
“They’re not cussing at the American public, they’re expressing frustration at what is happening,” Hicks said, with Faulkner responding, “Please don’t excuse that bad behavior.”
Democratic Rep. Al Green of Texas was ejected from the House Chamber in the Capitol building at the direction of Vice President J.D. Vance after heckling Trump during the March 4 speech after disregarding warnings from House Speaker Mike Johnson. Only ten Democrats voted to censure Green for his conduct.
