“The View” co-host Sunny Hostin went at it with a guest host over the idea of Black Republicans.

During an episode of the show Friday, Hostin asked Lindsey Granger if she was a Republican.

Granger replied, “Yes.”

Hostin responded, “I feel like that’s an oxymoron, a Black Republican.”

Granger fired back, “You feel like it’s an oxymoron?”

Hostin reiterated she believes it is.

After Granger pointed out Ana Navarro is a Republican, she also noted Hostin is a Catholic but not pro-life.

“I don’t understand either of you,” Hostin said.

Granger replied, “You don’t understand yourself, though.”

Hostin explained, “I understand myself,” adding, “I don’t understand either of you.”

Check out the exchange below:

Earlier last month, Hostin and Navarro had a similar exchange, as IJR previously reported.

Navarro asked Hostin, “Why are you still a Catholic? You don’t agree with everything about the Catholic Church?”

She replied, “Yes, but the Catholic Church did not try to destroy democracy in this country. That’s very, very different. We’re talking about a political party that doesn’t even exist anymore.”

According to Hostin, the Republican Party is “the party of insurrectionists. It’s the party of traitors … white supremacists. It’s not the party that you loved. It’s not.”

Navarro then told Hostin “no matter how much you want it to happen, the Republican Party is not going to disappear.”

She argued, “What we need to do is have two strong, healthy parties competing for your vote and my vote.”

In November 2021, Navarro said during an episode of the show she is still a Republican.

“I’m not going to let a guy who was a Democrat, an independent, became a Republican just a few years ago kick me out,” Navarro said pointing to former President Donald Trump.

She added, “I’m not going to let — not going to be kicked out by a person who has no ideology, no principles, and no convictions.”
