Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) has filed a complaint with the House Ethics Committee over the actions of a Democratic staffer.

The Washington Examiner reported on the letter Greene wrote after the staffer was seen on video defacing posters outside her office.

The posters reportedly claimed there are only two genders.

Greene argued in the letter, “Every representative should be secure in their person and property while on the Capitol grounds and in the various House office buildings.”

She added, “Yet, over the last six months, Timothy Hysom — Chief-of-Staff for Representative Jake Auchincloss — has repeatedly defaced posters hanging outside of my congressional office.”

Additionally, Greene accused Hysom of using “various derogatory comments to denigrate my sincerely held religious beliefs that there are only two genders made in the Image of God.”

Concluding her letter, Greene wrote, “I am requesting that the Committee on Ethics immediately investigate the conduct of Mr. Hysom toward my office over the last 7 months.”

She continued, “Every Member of this body deserves the same level of due process. Consistency and impartiality would compel you to investigate the matter merely on principle.”

The Examiner also noted that “a police affidavit reportedly issued by the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, Hysom defaced Greene’s property several times between January and February of 2022.”

In February 2021, Greene put up a poster outside of her office after Democratic Illinois Rep. Marie Newman hung the pink and blue transgender pride flag outside of her office.

“Our neighbor, [Rep Marie Newman], wants to pass the so-called “Equality” Act to destroy women’s rights and religious freedoms,” Greene tweeted.

Thought we’d put up ours so she can look at it every time she opens her door 😉🇺🇸 https://t.co/7joKpTh6Dc pic.twitter.com/aBGRSiIF6X

The sign Greene posted stated: “There are two genders: Male and female. ‘Trust the science!'”
