Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) says he believes President Donald Trump should attend President-elect Joe Biden‘s inauguration on Jan. 20, 2021.

When asked on Monday if he thinks Trump should go to the inauguration, Graham said, “If Biden winds up winning, yeah, I think so.”

“I just think it’s good for the country. It’d be good for him,” he added.

He said with a chuckle, “I hope that Biden will come to his.”

News outlets began to call the election for Biden on Nov. 7. However, Trump has refused to concede as he has made several unfounded allegations of voter fraud.

Graham is not the only Republican senator to urge the president to concede the race. Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) told CNN’s Manu Raju on Monday, “I think he should concede, I think the race is over.”

GOP Sen. Lisa Murkowski calls on Trump to concede. “I think he should concede, I think the race is over,” she just told me.

Asked if she voted for Trump, Murkowski wouldn’t say. “I don’t think that’s the pertinent question of the day.”

Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) said on Nov. 22, “President Trump has exhausted all plausible legal options to challenge the result of the presidential race in Pennsylvania.”

“To ensure that he is remembered for these outstanding accomplishments, and to help unify our country, President Trump should accept the outcome of the election and facilitate the presidential transition process,” he added.

While Trump has refused to concede the election, several reports have indicated he is seriously considering running for president in 2024.

The Daily Beast reports that Trump suggested he many announce his 2024 campaign the week of Biden’s inauguration — or even during the inauguration.
