Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) indicated Republicans could impeach Vice President Kamala Harris if Republicans gain control of the House in 2022.

During an interview on “Fox News Sunday,” Graham railed against former President Donald Trump’s Senate impeachment trial but explained he condemned the violence that took place at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.

“We’ve opened Pandora’s box to future presidents. I don’t know how Kamala Harris doesn’t get impeached if the Republicans take over the House, because she actually bailed out rioters and one of the rioters went back to the streets and broke somebody’s head open,” Graham said.

He added, “So we’ve opened Pandora’s box here and I’m sad for the country.”

According to The Washington Post, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) and Trump also accused Harris of assisting rioters with getting out of jail.

“Kamala Harris helped violent rioters in Minnesota get out of jail to do more damage,” Cotton tweeted in August.

He continued, “Don’t believe her when she says she ‘condemns the violence’ — look at her record, not her words.”

Trump said during a news conference in August, “Thirteen members of Biden’s campaign staff donated to bail and — rioters — they’re getting them out of jail. Looters — they got them out of jail. And his running mate, Kamala, urged their supporters to do the same thing.”

Their comments came after Harris tweeted a link to the Minnesota Freedom Fund (MFF) and asked her followers to donate if they could.

“If you’re able to, chip in now to the [MN Freedom Fund] to help post bail for those protesting on the ground in Minnesota,” Harris wrote in June.

The Post claims few protesters demonstrating in the wake of George Floyd’s death needed assistance from the MFF to get out of jail.

Between May 26 and June 2, all but three of the 170 protesters arrested were released from jail within one week. Of those released, only 10 had to put up a bond.
