Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is praising Dr. Jill Biden after she delivered a speech on why she believes Americans should vote for her husband, Joe Biden, in the upcoming presidential election.

“Tonight, Jill Biden did a very good job representing herself and Joe in the causes they believe in,” Graham tweeted.

The Republican lawmaker added, “She’s an outstanding person who has led a consequential life.”

In her personal speech at Tuesday night’s Democratic National Convention, Jill Biden said, “How do you make a broken family whole? The same way you make a nation whole. With love and understanding and with small acts of kindness. With bravery. With unwavering faith.”

Graham and the Bidens previously had a close relationship. However, their relationship became spoiled when Graham expressed a desire to investigate Hunter Biden and his position on the board of Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings.

The name “Lindsey” trended on Twitter Wednesday morning, as some users criticized his response to Jill Biden’s convention speech. Among those included Juanita Broaddrick, who alleged former President Bill Clinton raped her while he served as the attorney general of Arkansas.

“I have never trusted anything Lindsey Graham says,” she tweeted.

However, others pointed to old tweets Graham posted where he was critical of President Donald Trump. Now, Graham is a vocal supporter of the president.
