Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is labeling Joe Biden’s presidency “the biggest power-grab in my lifetime.”

Speaking about potential Supreme Court expansion, Graham shared his thoughts on court-packing, the filibuster, as well as how he believes the Biden he once knew needs to “emerge.”

Sending a message to Biden, he said at Thursday’s press briefing, “Mr. President, there are some real big assaults on democracy and Democratic institutions occurring on your watch and you’re AWOL.”

Graham noted Biden previously called court-packing a “bonehead” idea.

“The Joe Biden that was progressive, but reasonable, needs to emerge,” Graham continued.

He called on Biden have a “time out on some of these radical ideas.”

Watch his remarks below:

Sen. @LindseyGrahamSC: "This is a power-grab, packing the court is a power-grab, H.R. 1 is a power-grab, the filibuster elimination is a power-grab. So, the Joe Biden presidency is not problem solving thus far. It's the biggest power-grab in my lifetime." pic.twitter.com/YB0OVLqQDu

“Packing the court is a power-grab, H.R. 1 is a power-grab, the filibuster elimination is a power-grab. So, the Joe Biden presidency is not problem-solving thus far. It’s the biggest power-grab in my lifetime,” Graham explained.

He added, “I know that the Joe Biden that I worked with all these years would not be a part of this. Something has changed … that needs to be dealt with.”

Stephen Colbert asked Joe Biden in December of 2020 whether he could restore his friendship with Graham.

“Lindsey’s been a personal disappointment because I was a personal friend of his,” Biden said after Graham would not recognize his election win.

During an interview on “Fox & Friends,” Graham was questioned about Biden’s comment, as IJR previously reported.

“I like Joe Biden, I like Jill [Biden]. This is not easy. Hunter Biden’s had all kind of problems. But I can promise you that what I’m asking for needs to be done,” Graham said.

He called for a special counsel investigation into Hunter Biden’s business dealings.

Jill Biden said in February of 2020 her and the president “used to be great friends” with Graham.

When asked if she still considers Graham a friend, Jill Biden said, “You know, it’s hard when you, I don’t know, consider somebody a friend and then they’ve said so many things, so many negative things. And that’s been a little hurtful.”
