Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.) has a question for President Joe Biden following the FBI raid of Mar-a-Lago.

Fox News reported that a White House official said the administration “did not have notice of the reported action and would refer you to the Justice Department for any additional information.”

Commenting on the raid, Johnson told the outlet, “Our two-tiered justice system is becoming more obvious and outrageous.”

He continued, “The White House claims it had no knowledge of the Mar-a-Lago raid, which raises even more questions.”

Johnson went on to ask, “Are they lying to us (again), or have the FBI and DOJ become partisan rogue agencies?”

The senator argued Biden “should have been made aware of the unprecedented FBI raid on a former president.”

He added, “Is he truly that detached from his own administration?”

On Monday, the FBI conducted a search of Trump’s residence as part of a federal investigation into the way he handled official records.

According to The Washington Post, some experts say that Trump potentially being charged and found guilty of willfully hiding or destroying confidential and classified materials could prohibit him from becoming president again.

However, the Post noted some experts disagree with that claim.

While Republicans voiced their opposition to the raid, Democrats were celebrating the move.

During an interview with MSNBC, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) lit up while discussing the raid.

“All I know about that is what is in the public domain. I was surprised that it flashed on my phone last evening, so I don’t really have too much to say except that to have a visit like that, you need a warrant to have a warrant and need justification,” Pelosi said.

She added, “And that says that no one is above the law, not even a president or a former president of the United States.”

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton appears to be fundraising amid the news.

“Every ‘But her emails’ hat or shirt sold helps [Onward Together] partners defend democracy, build a progressive bench, and fight for our values. Just saying!” Clinton tweeted.

Still, the former president has received his fair share of support from other Republicans and supporters after they gathered outside of the resort, as IJR reported.
