George Floyd’s brother, Philonise Floyd, is revealing details about his interactions with both President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden, noting the distinct difference in the two conversations.

On Sunday, Philonise Floyd shared details about his conversations, fondly recalling his 15-minute call with Biden. According to Philonise Floyd, Biden served as a listening ear.

“The vice president, I loved his conversation,” Philonise Floyd said of Biden, who is the presumptive 2020 Democratic presidential nominee. “He talked to me for like 10 [or] 15 minutes. And I was trying to talk his ear off because he was talking to me constantly. Great conversation.”

He went on to offer a comparison of that conversation to the one he had with the president on Friday.

“But Trump, it lasted probably two minutes,” he said, adding, “It was very brief. The conversation was OK with him. I was just respecting him, you know, listening to what he had to say. And I understood what he was saying, but it was just a brief conversation.”

Philonise Floyd also spoke with Rev. Al Sharpton on MSNBC about his conversation with the president, where he revealed he was not given an opportunity to speak.

“It was so fast. He didn’t give me an opportunity to even speak,” he said. “It was hard. I was trying to talk to him but he just kept, like pushing me off.”

During a round-table discussion on Friday, Trump also recalled his conversation with the Floyd family.

“I want to express our nation’s deepest condolences and most heartfelt sympathies to the family of George Floyd,” Trump said during a roundtable event at the White House, later adding, “I spoke with his family today — terrific people.”

Philonise Floyd also admitted that he pleaded with Biden to seek justice for his brother.

“I asked Vice President Biden — I never had to beg a man before — but I asked him, could he please, please get justice for my brother,” Floyd said.

He continued, “I need it. I do not want to see him on a shirt just like the other guys. Nobody deserved that. Black folk don’t deserve that. We’re all dying. Black lives matter.”

As of Monday morning, former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin is the only officer facing charges for the death of George Floyd. The other three officers have not been charged or arrested.
