George Conway did not hold back when it comes to sharing his thoughts on the 2020 presidential election.

During the segment on CNN Tuesday night, CNN’s Jake Tapper noted that President Donald Trump continues to falsely claim he won the presidential election. Trump has pushed to overturn the results and has yet to concede.

George Conway, a conservative attorney, was asked how long Republican Congress members can “deny reality,” as Tapper put it, in refusing to acknowledge Joe Biden as the president-elect.

In response, George Conway noted “safe harbor day” was on Tuesday, “that basically says… in substance, if states have certified the election in their states for presidential-electives that’s conclusive upon Congress.”

He continued, “This is officially over. This has been over for a long time,” adding that it will be “officially over” on Dec. 14 when the electors gather in their states and vote.

“But this cake has been baked for a long time, and it’s just crazy that all of this is still going on, that people are pretending and say, ‘Oh it’s likely he’s won the election,’ or even denying it.”

George Conway is the husband of Kellyanne Conway, former counselor to the president in the Trump administration, and he is one of the founders of The Lincoln Project.

"The biggest election fraud of the 2020 cycle, it didn't happen in any voting booth or in any mail-in drop box. Tapper and George Conway weighed in on the Supreme Court potentially taking up a Pennsylvania voting lawsuit. The Supreme Court rejected it on Tuesday, delivering a defeat to Republicans seeking to invalidate Biden’s victory in the state.

Additionally, George Conway — who has been a frequent critic of Trump — was asked during the CNN segment about Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) telling CNN “no way” should Trump concede the election next Monday.

George Conway called Republicans pushing for Trump not to concede an “embarrassment.”

“The biggest election fraud of the 2020 cycle, it didn’t happen in any voting booth or in any mail-in drop box. It’s happening now with these people peddling the lie that [Donald Trump] won the election,” George Conway added.

Biden secured the Electoral College votes needed to win the White House, according to the Associated Press’ tally. On Dec. 14, the Electoral College delegations will meet in their states to vote, and on Jan. 6, 2021, the House of Representatives and Senate will hold a joint session to count the electoral votes and declare the results.
