Founder of the mobile payment service Cash App was stabbed to death, according to a report.

The New York Times reported Bob Lee, 43, was fatally stabbed on the street in San Francisco Tuesday, citing his family.

Lee’s father, Rick, confirmed the news on Facebook.

“Bob would give you the shirt off his back,” Rick wrote.

He added, “He would never look down on anyone and adhered to a strict no-judgment philosophy.”

Lee’s brother, Tim, wrote on Facebook he was “so fortunate to grow up with him, and I feel like I’ve lost part of myself.”

The San Francisco district attorney, Brooke Jenkins, took to Twitter to express her condolences.

“We do not tolerate these horrific acts of violence in San Francisco. At this time no arrests have been made. Anyone w/ information is asked to call [San Francisco Police]. Tip Line at 1-415-575-4444,” Jenkins wrote.

I want to extend my sincerest condolences to Mr. Lee’s family members & loved ones for his loss. We do not tolerate these horrific acts of violence in San Francisco.

Matt Dorsey, the Democratic San Francisco city supervisor who represents Rincon Hill, also tweeted, “My heart goes out to Mr. Lee’s family members, friends and loved ones. This is a senseless tragedy that I know is made worse by the fact that no suspect is yet in custody.”

Dorsey shared he has “heard from many constituents in the area — some of whom have already voiced concerns to me about public safety challenges — and I’m asking everyone to cooperate with police in their investigation, especially those with access to surveillance video that may help.”

At the time of Lee’s death, he served as the chief product officer of MobileCoin, per the Times.

However, he was most known for his work with Cash App, which is now owned by one of Jack Dorsey’s companies.

Josh Goldbard, CEO of MobileCoin, also issued a statement on Lee’s death.

“Our dear friend and colleague, Bob Lee passed away yesterday at the age of 43, survived by a loving family and collection of close friends and collaborators,” Goldbard said.

He added, “Bob was a dynamo, a force of nature. Bob was the genuine article.”
