Andrew Pollack, the father of a victim of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida, expressed his appreciation for President Donald Trump’s leadership amid the 2018 tragedy while criticizing Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden for his lack of understanding of the event.

Pollack placed the blame, not on gun control laws, but “far-left Democrats” in Parkland’s school district.

He claimed the gunman had previously threatened to kill his classmates and argued the school “didn’t just miss these red flags; they knowingly ignored them.”

He accused “far-left Democrats” of making the shooting “possible” because they implemented what they called “restorative justice.”

Pollack suggested this policy puts students and teachers “at risk” and makes shootings “more likely.”

He mentioned the Obama administration and indicated it took Parkland’s “bad policies” and “forced” them into schools across the nation.

Pollack railed against Biden for failing to realize the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

“It’s hard to tell how much Mr. Biden understands about what happened at Parkland. Mr. Biden has campaigned on bringing back restorative justice as part of his unity platform with Bernie Sanders and his pledge to implement in school districts across America,” Pollack said.

He added, “But, he doesn’t even seem to know when the shooting happened. He said that he was vice president when it happened, but he wasn’t. Mr. Biden may not know when my daughter was murdered, but I do.”

Pollack noted his daughter died on February 14, 2018, and continued to indicate Biden does not realize these policies “make shootings more likely.”

In acknowledgement of Pence being vice president at the time he said “thank God and called on voters to join him in making sure Trump is elected as the safety of children “depends” on it.

Pollack closed his remarks and addressed Trump telling him that both himself and millions of Americans “appreciate” and “love him.”
