Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) will take aim at President Joe Biden and Democrats during his upcoming speech at the Reagan Library in California.

Axios obtained excerpts of his remarks.

Scott is expected to touch on his journey to Congress.

“It was education, hard work, and faith that allowed my family to go from cotton to Congress in one lifetime,” Scott says in the prepared remarks, as Axios reported.

He will argue parents “have a right to know what their kids are being taught in the classroom…teaching kids that they are oppressors is just as bad as teaching kids they are always going to be victims.”

Quoting former President Reagan, Scott says, “‘Inflation is as violent as a mugger, as frightening as an armed robber and as deadly as a hit man…Democrats’ leadership has led to a 40-year high in inflation, and they’re still pouring more money on this crisis.”

He continues, “That’s not good for moms making decisions in homes like the one I grew up in.”

Taking aim at Biden, Scott says his “weakness on the global stage has emboldened terrorists, bullies, and dictators … Bloodthirsty dictators like Putin only understand strength, and that’s what we must project from the United States.”

According to Axios, Scott will “call for energy independence, ‘a physical barrier on our southern border,’ and will take a swipe at the ‘The 1619 Project.'”

Last month, Biden received criticism from Republicans over his comment about Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power,” Biden said.

Democrats sought to clarify his remarks.

Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) said, “The president was speaking from his heart, but it is not U.S. policy to see regime change.”

He suggested there is “no support in the Democratic Congress for regime change.”

Khanna added, “We’ve been the party against regime change in the past 20 years.”

Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn) also said the position of the government is “not to send troops there.”

She continued, “It is to give all the aid we can to Ukraine.”
