“All proceeds will go to charity for veterans,” Musk added.

This comes after the two social media moguls have gone back and forth planning a cage fight.

In June, Musk’s mother joked about canceling the fight, via MMA Mania. She said, “I haven’t told them yet. But I will continue to say the fight is canceled, just in case.”

UFC President Dana White is said to be orchestrating the event, but Zuckerberg claims Musk won’t set a date.

Zuckerberg posted on his Threads platform, “I’m ready today. I suggested Aug 26 when he first challenged, but he hasn’t confirmed. Not holding my breath.”

He also criticized Musk’s plans to live stream on X, stating, “Shouldn’t we use a more reliable platform that can actually raise money for charity?”

Musk’s post currently has over 58 million views and more than 650,000 likes. Zuckerberg’s has under 34,000 likes.

In addition, according to USA Today, although Threads launched last month, within two weeks of operation, half of the users who flocked to the new platform stopped using it daily.

They also reported the amount of time being spent on the new platform also significantly dropped within its first month of use.

Still, the Musk vs. Zuckerberg speculation continues. Just before revealing plans to livestream the event for charity, Musk also tweeted about his training progress.

He said, “Am lifting weights throughout the day, preparing for the fight.”

Don’t have time to work out, so I just bring them to work.
