Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-Tex.) spoke to Musk on camera as they witnessed “hundreds of people being processed” under a bridge.

He noted this happens every day and that the group displayed will be sent to another larger processing center.

Gonzales stated, “It’s non-stop all day long.”

He expressed concerns that border patrol agents have brought to him regarding the process.

He said they are being tied up at the intake centers and would like to be “out in the field” catching “bad actors.”

Musk discussed with Gonzales how “nothing is being done at the federal level.”

Gonzales also noted, “Many people who are seeking asylum are not going to qualify for asylum.”

He explained how the lack of immigration law enforcement is encouraging more illegal immigrants to cross the border.

Both expressed support for legal immigration pathways to help hard-working individuals come to the U.S. to work and be a part of society, but Musk also noted seeing “some pretty extreme individuals coming through” illegally under the current policy.

Gonzales blamed the Biden administration, stating, “It’s a bad situation all the way around and a large part of it is because the administration is attracting these folks to come.”

Musk said, “This sounds like complete madness.”

Gonzales noted the importance of Musk coming down to share what he saw.

Musk then posted asking X, formerly Twitter, followers, “Why do so many American politicians from both parties care 100 times more about the Ukraine border than the USA border?”

He uploaded another interview with Medina County Sheriff Randy Brown, who noted the crisis has been an ongoing battle since the open border policy was implemented when the Biden administration took over.

Brown described his perception of Washington’s attitude toward the border crisis.

He said, “They don’t have a clue what’s going on here, I don’t think, because if they did, maybe they would care. Maybe they wouldn’t. I don’t know.”
