Actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson addressed whether he would be running for president one day.

In an interview with the “Today” show on Dec. 6, Johnson, 51, spoke about the possibility of running for office in the future.

“Here’s what I can tell you with 100% certainty and surety is that I believe in working hard controlling the controllables and putting in all the hard work with your own two hands, and being humble, hungry, and grateful, kicking a** and always give back,” he explained.

He added, “That’s what I can tell you. So it’s not a no.”

This came after Johnson posted the results of a 2021 survey conducted by Piplsay on his Instagram page which revealed nearly 46% of Americans would support his leadership in the White House.

“I don’t think our Founding Fathers EVER envisioned a six-four, bald, tattooed, half-Black, half-Samoan, tequila drinking, pick up truck driving, fanny pack wearing guy joining their club – but if it ever happens it’d be my honor to serve you, the people,” the “Black Adam” star wrote in the caption.

The former WWE wrestler has hinted at a possible presidential run numerous times in the past.

In a 2016 interview with British GQ, Johnson opened up about his interest in politics.

“I’ll be honest, I haven’t ruled politics out,” he said.

“I’m not being coy when I say that, but at the moment I am not sure. I can’t deny that the thought of being governor, the thought of being president, is alluring,” he explained.

Continuing, he said becoming president would “be an opportunity to make a real impact on people’s lives on a global scale.”

“But there are a lot of other things I want to do first,” he added.

That same year, Johnson posted a screenshot from a news broadcast where a fan was holding up a sign endorsing him over former President Bill Clinton and former President Donald Trump during a protest at the Democratic National Convention.
