President Donald Trump took an opportunity during a World War II ceremony to take a shot at Democratic nominee Joe Biden.

Trump was in Wilmington, North Carolina, on Wednesday, where he appeared in front of World War II veterans and officially designated the city as the first World War II heritage site.

At one point in the speech, Trump recognized one of the veterans who were in attendance. Of one of the veterans, he joked, “I promised him that I would not tell that he’s 97-years-old, I promised. I’ll tell you, he’s 100% sharp, he’s 100% sharp — I know a 78-year-old who’s not so sharp and he’s 97.”

Trump added, “Because it has nothing to do with that, 78 is young. It depends who’s 78, that’s all. He’s 97, I said ‘man you are something’ and physically in great shape.”

Trump’s reference to a “not so sharp” 78-year-old is an apparent dig at Biden, who is 77 and will turn 78 in November. President Trump is 74.

Trump blasted Biden as slipping during the early stages of the campaign, and he’s returned to that line of attack recently.

The president has even gone so far as to call for drug tests prior to the debates, saying in an interview, “Go back and watch his performances in some of those debates. He didn’t know where he was. And all of a sudden, he was not good, he was normal, and I don’t understand how.”

Trump added, “I don’t know if there is or not, but somebody said to me, ‘He must be on drugs.’ I don’t know if that’s true or not, but I’m asking for a drug test. Both candidates. Me, too. I take an aspirin a day.”

President Trump has also fended off accusations that his own health is in decline. On Tuesday, the White House physician issued a letter that said Trump “remains healthy.”
