President Donald Trump has just over a month left in the Oval Office but the president is already eyeing another presidential run and hinted at such plans during the White House Christmas party this week.

Speaking to supporters on Tuesday night, the president said, “It’s been an amazing four years. We are trying to do another four years. Otherwise, I’ll see you in four years,” according to a Politico report.

The president’s team has been fighting, and mostly losing, legal battles in an effort to overturn his election loss to President-elect Joe Biden, and Trump has refused to concede the election so far.

Some of his staunchest supporters have already called for him to consider another shot at the White House in 2024.

During an early November interview, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said, “I would encourage President Trump, if after all this he does fall short or he just can’t quite get there to not let this movement die. To consider running again.”

Limited polling also supports Trump’s shot at a 2024 comeback. A Morning Consult survey conducted in mid-November found that a majority of Republicans polled said they would support Trump in 2024.

Other names that polled high on the list of possible 2024 Republican nominees included Vice President Mike Pence and Donald Trump Jr.

After that polling was released, the president tweeted, “But 2020 is a long way from over!”

While he has not publicly acknowledged his election result the president has said that he recommended the Government Services Administration to allow Biden’s team to being the transition process.

But just after he made that recommendation, the president railed against the election, tweeting that it “will go down as the most corrupt election in American political history.” Meanwhile, the Justice Department has shot down the president’s claims of widespread election fraud costing him the election.
