DNC Adviser Sparks Backlash After Making Joke About Lauren Boebert and OnlyFans

DCCC and DNC adviser Kurt Bardella made a joke about Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) and OnlyFans, but not everyone found it funny.

During an appearance on "The ReidOut," Joe Reid asked Bardella, "What’s the meaning if Lauren Boebert, the second most popular QAnon congressperson in MAGA, what if she loses? What job will she have?"

Bardella replied, "I guess is it might be a gain for OnlyFans."

Reid burst out laughing at the response.

He added, "I don’t know what she would do in this scenario."

After working in Republican politics for years, Bardella announced in 2017 he would be leaving the party.

Boebert is currently battling for reelection in a tight race with Democrat Adam Frisch.

Bardella received significant criticism from Twitter users.

One user called the comment "disgusting," adding, "Suggesting that a US congresswoman join OnlyFans is misogynistic AF, even if that congresswoman is the absolute worst (and, to be clear, Lauren Boebert is ABSOLUTELY the worst). I'm genuinely disappointed that [Joy Ann Reid] laughed."

Another wrote, "There's always that contingent of people who are thrilled to have the opportunity to use all the misogynistic/racist/fatphobic nonsense they've been repressing in order to look like good people in a manner they think can be seen as altruistic."

One tweet questioned whether the joke would be made about "Louie Gohmert? Andy Biggs? Paul Gosar? Or is it only women who get told to do sex work as an insult? No matter what you think of Rep. Lauren Boebert, let’s not confuse misogyny with actual insight or humor. And on a show hosted by a woman, to boot."
