Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) took an opportunity to swipe at President Joe Biden for calling a reporter a “stupid son of a b****.”

DeSantis was asked a question on Tuesday and responded, “Well, Mike, I don’t know if I’m supposed to call you Mike or some S.O.B. How’s it work now?”

He continued, “What’s the…Mike, I like that better.”

During an event at the White House on Monday, Fox News’ Peter Doocy attempted to ask Biden a question about inflation and whether it would be a “political liability in the midterms.”

“It’s a great asset,” Biden said apparently sarcastically. He added, “What a stupid son of a b****.”

Doocy later revealed that Biden called him “about an hour of that exchange” and said, “It’s nothing personal, pal.”

He continued to say that he told the president he is “always going to try something different than what everybody else is asking.”

Finally, Doocy said Biden “cleared the air,” and it was a “nice call,” but, “I don’t need anybody to apologize to me. He can call me whatever he wants as long as it gets him talking.”

DeSantis has previously taken opportunities to take jabs at the commander-in-chief. In November, he referenced the anti-Biden catchphrase, “Let’s go Brandon,” when he dubbed the Biden administration the “Brandon Administration.”

He also signed legislation in Brandon, Florida, that required businesses to allow employees to opt out of COVID-19 vaccine mandates.

“Nobody should lose their job due to heavy-handed COVID mandates, and we had a responsibility to protect the livelihoods of the people of Florida,” he said in a press release.

Biden planned to implement a vaccine requirement for businesses with over 100 employees. However, in January, the Supreme Court blocked the requirement, as IJR reported.
