Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) is expected to handily win reelection as governor.

CNN projected on Tuesday night that the conservative star will win another term as governor.

With roughly 70% of the vote reported, DeSantis was leading Democrat Charlie Crist by roughly 16 points.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) was also projected to win re-election.
