Television host Trevor Noah has ended his run at “The Daily Show” after seven years.

Noah hosted his final show on Thursday titled “Trevor Thanks The Fans & Black Women Who Shaped His Life” and shared his gratitude for his fans.

“Honestly, most importantly, I’m grateful to you,” Noah said, referring to the fans. “Every single one of you, I am so grateful.”

He also recalled what it was like when he first started the show in 2015.

“I remember when we started the show we couldn’t get enough people to fill the audience…Now I look at this now, I don’t take it for granted ever,” Noah said.

He added, “Every seat that has been filled to watch something I am doing. I always appreciate it cause I know the empty seat that sits behind it. So thank you.”

Noah also thanked “the people who watch,” and those who have shared clips from the show.

He continued to thank “everyone who’s had an opinion” and “everyone who’s been kind enough and gracious enough too.”

He tearfully gave a “special shout out to black women” who he credited for helping him become who he is.

“I’ve often been credited with having these grand ideas and people that go ‘Oh Trevor you’re so smart.’ Who do you think teaches me, who has shaped me, nourished me, formed me? From my mom, my gran, my aunt, I always tell people, if you truly want to learn about America talk to black women,” he said.

On Sept. 29, Noah announced his departure from the show.

“And I just found myself filled with gratitude for the journey. It’s been absolutely amazing, and I found myself thinking about everything we’ve gone through — the Trump presidency, the pandemic, more pandemic — and I realized that after the seven years, my time is up,” he revealed.

He shared that he “loved hosting this show” and that it’s been one of his “biggest challenges” and one of his “greatest joys.”
