New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) is confident that New York State Attorney General Letitia James‘ (D) investigation into sexual harassment allegations will not find wrongdoing.

On Monday, Cuomo categorically denied allegations of sexual harassment levied against him by at least eight women.

When asked if he would “discipline” himself or resign if James’ report found that he did harass women, he said, “The report can’t say anything different because I didn’t do anything wrong.”

Cuomo is facing several allegations of sexual misconduct, which he has denied. However, James is investigating them, and the New York State Assembly has launched an impeachment investigation into them as well.

In a press conference in March, Cuomo said he “never touched anyone inappropriately.” He also said he did not know that he made his accusers feel uncomfortable.

The allegations have led state Democratic lawmakers and members of the state’s Congressional delegation to call for his resignation.

Last week, Cuomo was asked if he would resign if the state attorney general’s investigation found that he sexually harassed women.

“Let’s see what the report says, and then we will take it from there,” he responded.

He added, “I’m not going to have any comment on a review that is underway beyond that. I was attorney general of the state. I said to everyone, during a review, please don’t comment during the pendency of the review. Let the review go on. At the appropriate time, I will have a comment about the review and about the facts, and about the truth, and I’m looking forward to that. But now is not the time.”
