New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) is refuting allegations that he sexually harassed a staffer for years.

During a press conference on Monday, Cuomo was asked about the allegation made by former aide Lindsey Boylan. He said, “I heard about the tweet, and what it said about comments that I had made. And it’s not true.”

“Look, I fought for, and I believe a woman has the right to come forward and express her opinion and express issues and concerns that she has, but it’s just not true.”

Watch the video below:

On Sunday, Boylan released a series of tweets claiming that Cuomo sexually harassed her for years and that “many saw it, and watched.”

“I could never anticipate what to expect: would I be grilled on my work (which was very good) or harassed about my looks. Or would it be both in the same conversation? This was the way for years,” she added.

Not knowing what to expect what’s the most upsetting part aside from knowing that no one would do a damn thing even when they saw it.

No one.

And I *know* I am not the only woman.

She went on to claim that she is not the only woman who was harassed by the governor.

According to Boylan’s LinkedIn page, she served as the Deputy Secretary for Economic Development and Special Advisor to the Governor from 2015 to 2018.

In a separate tweet, Boylan said, “To be clear: I have no interest in talking to journalists. I am about validating the experience of countless women and making sure abuse stops.”

To be clear: I have no interest in talking to journalists.

I am about validating the experience of countless women and making sure abuse stops.

My worst fear is that this continues. And as @FKAtwigs said yesterday, my second worst fear is having to talk about and relive this.

“My worst fear is that this continues. And as @FKAtwigs said yesterday, my second worst fear is having to talk about and relive this,” she added.

On December 5, she sent out a different series of tweets claiming that Cuomo’s office was the “most toxic” work environment she had worked in. She also claimed that many staffers are “deathly afraid” of him.

Boylan’s allegations come as it is being reported that Cuomo is under consideration to serve as President-elect Joe Biden’s attorney general.
