Kellyanne Conway, a former counselor to President Donald Trump, is letting Americans know they should expect to hear from him on Tuesday night after the election results roll in.

ABC’s George Stephanopoulos asked Conway if Trump will address Americans on election night.

“Yes, you will hear from the president tonight. I’m headed over to the White House shortly to be joined by I think a couple hundred people and the president is expected to address the nation later from the East Room of the White House,” Conway said.

She continued:

“We’re not in a rush. We’re patient people. I certainly am, but I know the president … I’ve watched him watch returns now in 2016 and 2018 and he really gets very quiet. He watches, he’s working the phones, people are running in from the war room, giving him data, giving him their best guesses, but not their wishful thinking and I appreciate that. “

“The president was the last one… Gov. Christie will remember, he was really the last one to think he was going to win in 2016,” she added.

During a phone interview with “Fox & Friends” Tuesday morning, Trump was asked about a report suggesting he would declare victory prematurely, as IJR previously reported.

He said he will declare victory “when there’s victory. If there’s victory.”

Trump added, “There’s no reason to play games,” and he believes there is a “solid chance” of winning reelection.

Earlier on Tuesday, Trump was asked if he had prepared a victory or concession speech, as IJR previously reported.

“No, I’m not thinking about concession speech or acceptance speech yet,” Trump told reporters.

He added, “Hopefully, we’ll be only doing one of those two. And you know, winning is easy. Losing is never easy — not for me, it’s not.”
