A panel discussion on CNN got a little heated when one of the guests accused another of just sticking to their party’s talking points.
On Wednesday night, former Barack Obama campaign manager Jim Messina and conservative CNN contributor Scott Jennings sparred over just how close the races in Arizona really are.
Jennings suggested Arizona Republican Senate candidate Blake Masters is in a “very close” race with Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.)
However, Messina shot back, “You’re just holding the Republican line. Everything you said tonight. Let’s be in the middle.”
“Arizona is a great example. That wasn’t even on the battlefield when you were in the White House, or I was in the White House. Now Democrats are winning presidential elections, they have both Senate seats, and you’re saying [Republicans] are doing well?”
Messina added, “Scott, enough with the talking points.”
The two then debated whether Republicans are seeing more support among Hispanic voters compared to previous years.

Messina then took a jab at Jennings as he said, “I’m just concerned that the RNC gave you the talking points, and now you can’t shift.”
And that’s when things got a little explosive.
“I tell you what, man, do you have a single friend? You’re an absolute jerk.” Jennings shot back.
Co-host Alisyn Camerota tried to reign in the panel as she said, “Guys! Guys! Guys! Stop.”
“I’m sorry. No, no, no, I’m sorry,” Jennings continued. “I don’t come on here and read talking points.”
Finally, he said to Messina, “I don’t even know you. And you come on here and insult me.”
“I don’t come out here and read talking points,” Jennings said as he wound down his response.
