Just over ten days after testing positive for COVID-19, President Donald Trump is back to the campaign trail and holding rallies with little to no mask-wearing or social distancing.
On Tuesday, the co-hosts of ABC’s “The View” — including Cindy McCain, the wife of the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) — ripped into the president for holding rallies.
Whoopi Goldberg asked Cindy McCain what she thought of “this crazy thing.” She said, “To me, it’s a simple discussion. It’s all about arrogance and ego.”
“This is not presidential. This has everything to do with a personal agenda, and that’s why we need a change. That’s exactly why we need Joe Biden in the White House to stop this and act with character and dignity and leadership and empathy more importantly,” she continued.
McCain also noted the death toll from the coronavirus is over 200,000 and, “He does things like this in Florida. It’s outrageous.”

Golberg asked Sonny Hostin for her thoughts on Trump’s rally, and she said, “I just saw. … Covidpalooza. Right? That’s what I saw.”
She continued to blast Trump for being the “greatest source of misinformation” around the virus. Specifically, she pointed to Trump’s claim that he is immune from the coronavirus.
“I think that what is so dangerous about him saying something like that is people will then not wear their mask, not socially distance,” she said. “Lives are at risk, and people could die just from attending that and listening to what he is saying.”
Golberg chimed in to recount that Herman Cain, a Trump supporter and former presidential candidate who attended a rally in June, died after contracting the coronavirus following the rally where he was seen not wearing a mask.
