Several individuals were seen at New York University (NYU) tearing down posters featuring the images of people who were kidnapped by Hamas earlier this month.

On Monday night, the account of the NYU chapter of Students Supporting Israel wrote in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, “Today, we witnessed 2 NYU students violently tearing down posters of kidnapped babies, mothers, and grandmothers hanging outside of NYU Buildings. This was done in a laughing manner, exhibiting complete disregard for Jewish lives and Jewish safety.”

It shared an image of two women carrying crumpled posters that were hung outside a building on the university’s campus, and another image of them in a trash can.

“We are currently trying to identify these students. – WE FEEL UNSAFE AND THIS IS EXTREMELY UNSETTLING!!! We ask NYU to offer a course of action that CONDEMNS terrorism, that there are SERIOUS consequences to antisemitic actions,” the account added.

Meanwhile, the conservative Media Research Center shared a video of the posters being taken down.

The New York Post noted the posters were hung outside NYU’s Tisch Hall.

Journalist Abigal Shrier wrote on X, “NYU students ripping down posters of other people’s missing children. ‘They didn’t know what they were signing onto!’ ‘They’re just college kids!’ Getting really tired of watching intellectuals bend over backwards to excuse evil.”
