Former “Full House” actress Candace Cameron Bure believes Jesus Christ is the reason for the season.

In an interview with the Washington Times, Bure, 47, said this about the Christmas season.

“It truly is a wonderful time of the year,” she said also speaking about her love of talking to others about Jesus.

“But for me, the real reason I love it so much is that it is the easiest time to share Christ with everyone because that’s what the season really is all about,” she continued.

Bure, who is a bold Christian and chief creative officer of the Great American Family network, also revealed how she became a Christian at the age of 12 after her parents attended marriage counseling at a church in Los Angeles.

Her older brother, former “Growing Pains” actor Kirk Cameron became a Christian at the age of 17, according to the Washington Examiner.

However, around the time she married professional hockey player Valeri Bure in 1996 and became a first-time mom to daughter Natasha in 1998, Bure said she wanted to dig deeper into her faith.

“Before my 20s, I never spent time [with] the Bible. And then my brother, I had a conversation with him, and he challenged me on some questions and to read a book that really opened up my eyes,” Bure, the mother of three explained.

Bure revealed that after reading the Ten Commandments while sitting in her bedroom and reflecting on the Christian book, “The Way of the Master,” was when the Gospel “clicked” for her.

“I finally saw, like, ‘Oh, I’m a sinner by God’s standard,’ and then I understood my need for a savior and for Jesus,” she said.

From then on, she committed to serving God for the rest of her life.

“I want to live in gratitude to you for the rest of my life, and I want to honor you and give glory to you out of that gratitude and thankfulness because you died on the cross. You paid the penalty for my sin,” Bure recalled.
